Sand Dreams Workshop
Craftsmanship
A grain of sand is very little, but so much everything... what remains one day or another of a rock, a shell, a fossilized algae, a volcanic lava. ..
Collected with curiosity and patience, the materials are washed, sorted, sifted, separated, then all these multicolored grains, sometimes reduced once again with a pestle, so natural and varied, are then presented in a collection in an astonishing palette of shades...
The mineral properties of certain sands are surprising...limestones, oxides, magnetites...
These little jewels of nature, already wonderfully beautiful in their own right, are there to finally constitute... works of art, which you will keep all your life...

The Archaeological Park of engraved rocks
Museum
Located in a sort of natural amphitheater formed by a cliff of ancient volcanic lava flows of basaltic andesite, one can discover, over more than one hectare, a set of 22 rocks presenting more than 230 engravings, either isolated, or grouped into “panels”. Thus, the majority of rocks reveal isolated figures with a schematic design – simple faces or round heads on oval bodies. In two cases, faces were depicted with more complex decoration, earning them the nicknames "cacique" and "sorcerer" by their discoverers, although these names do not reflect the nature of the depiction. But the park is especially renowned for its rocks presenting more complex groups where several figures form elaborate compositions, with a staging whose meaning escapes us.

Vanibel
Creole Garden
Since the 90s, the history of Domaine de Vanibel has not only been about a coffee plantation. Upon his acquisition, Mr. NELSON engaged in the cultivation of eggplant on the entire farm. Following an illness, the cultivation of eggplant was replaced by that of banana, currently the predominant crop on the island, as well as sugar cane.
It was in 1998 that we launched the coffee culture and since then Vanibel is proud to offer you a 100% Guadeloupe product.
